Would you like to see me cross the finish line at the Dublin Marathon wearing an orange ribbon in honor of someone you know that has felt the impact of Diabetes? I'll be wearing one for my sister Dana.
With your donation (minimum $40), receive an orange ribbon to wear for the remainder of my campaign (until I cross the finish line at Dublin Marathon on October 27, 2008), and I will wear an orange ribbon with your honored friend's name for the duration of the race. After the race you will receive the ribbon as my thanks to you!
To receive your ribbon, simply make a donation (click here), then email me at trish@tri4wellness.ca to let me know who you'd like me to honor! Please include your mailing address so I can send you your ribbon. :)
Welcome!
Welcome to Trish's blog page Tri4Wellness! Thank you for your interest in my journey. I am dedicated to my campaign for Team Diabetes, raising funds (once again) for the Canadian Diabetes Association, participating in the Bluenose 10K, on May 23, 2010!
Please take some time to learn about my sister's story - she's the reason I have embarked on this tremendous journey. :) I will also share a bit of my story too. I hope you feel compelled to support us and this worthy cause!
Why "Tri 4 Wellness"? When anyone asks me why I run, my response is always: "for me, for wellness, for overall well being." After I started running three years ago, I decided if I could get back a fitter lifestyle, then why not go for it all! I used to run, cycle and swim regularly. I never did triathlon though. However, I'm a little more goal-oriented than I once was though, so triathlon it is! Running, cycling, swimming, walking and yoga are my regular activities for wellness. The races are a fun way to join up with other like-minded nuts. ;)
