Welcome!
Please take some time to learn about my sister's story - she's the reason I have embarked on this tremendous journey. :) I will also share a bit of my story too. I hope you feel compelled to support us and this worthy cause!
Why "Tri 4 Wellness"? When anyone asks me why I run, my response is always: "for me, for wellness, for overall well being." After I started running three years ago, I decided if I could get back a fitter lifestyle, then why not go for it all! I used to run, cycle and swim regularly. I never did triathlon though. However, I'm a little more goal-oriented than I once was though, so triathlon it is! Running, cycling, swimming, walking and yoga are my regular activities for wellness. The races are a fun way to join up with other like-minded nuts. ;)

Team Diabetes update- change of venue
While I am very disappointed not to make it to Dublin this year, I am very excited to do the Okanagan Marathon on October 12th (which also has a Half Marathon and 10k event). I'll be including a visit to my sister in Abbotsford, the reason I'm running in the first place! I haven't seen Dana since months before her diagnosis!!!

My training schedule has been revamped a few times. For the remainder of this semester I will try to keep up a 3-4 run/week schedule. With runs of 5-10km each. In April I will begin the real Marathon training (yikes!)
I've been suffering from insomnia which has affected my energy levels, and unfortunately my training. This week I got in only one run. On a positive note, I got in a swim and a bike trainer session. Here's hoping for better sleep and good running in the upcoming week! :)
